Access violation vulnerability in Simple Membership 4.1.2

The Simple Membership plugin for WordPress has a security vulnerability in versions up to and including 4.1.2. This vulnerability is related to membership privileges and happens because of a lack of security checks on the membership levels given to users. This means that unauthenticated users can supply their own membership levels and be given permissions they should not have.
