Input validation vulnerability in External url as post Featured Image (thumbnail) 2.02

The plugin External url as post Featured Image for WordPress is vulnerable to a type of attack called Reflected Cross-Site Scripting in versions 2.02 and older. This vulnerability happens because the plugin does not properly check data coming from a URL and does not protect against malicious scripts being run. If a malicious person is able to get someone to click a link, they could inject code into webpages viewed by that person.
