The WowOptin plugin for WordPress, which helps create popups and optins for lead generation, has a security vulnerability that allows unauthorized installation of other plugins. This happens because the plugin does not have a check in place to verify the user’s capabilities before installing and activating a new plugin. This means that attackers with Subscriber-level access or higher can install and activate any plugin they want.
