Input validation vulnerability in WordPress Simple HTML Sitemap 2.1

The WordPress Simple HTML Sitemap plugin is vulnerable to a security issue called Reflected Cross-Site Scripting. This means that unauthenticated attackers can inject malicious code into pages if they can manipulate someone into clicking on a link. All versions of the plugin up to and including version 2.1 are affected due to lack of proper input sanitation and output escaping.
