Input validation vulnerability in GD Star Rating 1.9.17

The GD Star Rating plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to a type of online attack called Cross-Site Scripting. This attack allows an attacker to inject malicious scripts into websites that use the plugin. Versions of the plugin released before 1.9.17 are particularly vulnerable to this attack due to a lack of security measures. If a vulnerable version of the plugin is used, an attacker can inject scripts that will execute in the victim’s web browser.
