Access violation vulnerability in Product Expiry for WooCommerce 2.5

The Product Expiry for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress, up until version 2.5, has a vulnerability that allows people with subscriber-level permissions or higher to change plugin settings without permission. This is because the ‘save_settings’ function does not have a capability check, which is what’s needed to make sure unauthorized people can’t update the settings.
