The CodeBard’s Patron Button and Widgets for Patreon WordPress plugin, up to version 2.1.8, has a security flaw that allows unauthenticated attackers to embed malicious code into pages on the website. The malicious code can then be executed whenever a user visits the page, which can cause damage to the website or the user’s device. This vulnerability exists due to an insufficient check of the ‘site_account’ parameter and the lack of output escaping.
