WP Shieldon – WordPress Firewall

WP Shieldon is a WordPress security plugin that uses the Shieldon library, a Web Application Firewall (WAF) for PHP. The plugin temporarily bans users or robots that try to view too many web pages in a short period of time until they solve a captcha. WP Shieldon features real-time statistics, IP management, online session control, and SEO friendliness. However, it is not recommended for beginners and requires the Trusted Bot component to be turned on for search engine crawlers to smoothly crawl the website. The plugin is open source and can be found on GitHub.
