Input validation vulnerability in Link Checker Professional 1.17.0

The Link Checker plugin for WordPress contains a security vulnerability that could allow unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious web scripts in pages. This vulnerability affects versions of the plugin prior to 1.17.0 and is caused by the plugin not properly sanitizing input and not properly escaping output. If an attacker is able to trick a user into performing an action such as clicking a link, the malicious web scripts could be executed.
