Input validation vulnerability in Image Hover Effects – WordPress Plugin 5.5

The Image Hover Effects plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to a type of attack called Cross-Site Request Forgery. Versions of the plugin before 5.5 have a problem with their security features, specifically missing or incorrect nonce validation on the save_caption_options() function. This means that if an attacker can get a site administrator to click on a link, they can modify the caption options without being authenticated.
