Access violation vulnerability in Post SMTP – WP SMTP Plugin with Email Logs and Mobile App for Failure Notifications – Gmail SMTP, Office 365, Brevo, Mailgun, Amazon SES and more 3.4.1

The Post SMTP plugin for WordPress has a security issue that allows unauthorized changes to be made to data. This is because the plugin does not have a way to check if the user has the right permissions when using the ‘update_post_smtp_pro_option_callback’ function. This means that attackers who have a Subscriber-level access or higher can potentially enable pro extensions without proper authorization.
