Input validation vulnerability in Slider, Gallery, and Carousel by MetaSlider – Responsive WordPress Slideshows 3.17.2

The Slider, Gallery, and Carousel by MetaSlider plugin for WordPress recently had a security vulnerability in versions up to 3.17.1. This vulnerability allowed someone with sufficient privileges to store malicious code on the website. The patch adds extra filtering to the captions to help protect against this type of attack.
