Access violation vulnerability in Optimole – Optimize Images | Convert WebP & AVIF | CDN & Lazy Load | Image Optimization 4.1.0

The Optimole plugin for WordPress, which helps optimize images and convert them to WebP and AVIF formats, has a security vulnerability in all versions up to 4.1.0. This vulnerability, known as Insecure Direct Object Reference, occurs in the /wp-json/optml/v1/move_image REST API endpoint. The plugin does not properly check a key that is controlled by the user, allowing attackers with Author-level access or above to transfer media files that do not belong to them.
