The WP Mermaid plugin for WordPress has a security issue called Stored Cross-Site Scripting. This means that hackers can add harmful website code to pages on a website that uses the plugin. The vulnerability exists in versions up to 1.0.2 and can be exploited by attackers with contributor-level access or higher. This can cause the harmful code to run whenever someone visits the affected page.
