Vulnerability found in LearnPress – WordPress LMS Plugin

A popular plugin for WordPress, called LearnPress, has a security issue that could allow anyone to register on a website without being authenticated. This can happen on versions up to 4.2.6.8.1 because of a function called ‘check_validate_fields’ not properly checking for valid information during the registration process. This means that even if a website has disabled registration, attackers could still register with the default role and gain access.
