A popular plugin for WordPress called “The WordPress Buffer – HYPESocial” has a security issue that could potentially be exploited by hackers. This vulnerability, known as Cross-Site Request Forgery, affects all versions of the plugin up to and including 2020.1.0. The problem lies in the plugin’s failure to properly validate a security code, which could allow unauthorized individuals to trick a website administrator into taking an action, such as clicking on a link.
