The Groups plugin for WordPress has a security issue in all versions up to 6.7.0. This is because there is missing validation on a user-controlled key in the ‘group_id’ parameter of the group_join function. As a result, attackers with Subscriber-level access or higher can register for groups that are not set in the shortcode.
