A plugin called “Password Reset with Code for WordPress REST API” has a security issue that affects all versions up to 0.0.16. This means that the plugin does not have strong enough security measures in place to generate one-time passwords. This weakness allows hackers who are not logged in to reset the passwords of any user, including administrators. They can then use this access to gain control of the accounts.
