The StoryChief plugin for WordPress has a security issue in all versions up to 1.0.42. This vulnerability allows anyone to upload any type of file through the /wp-json/storychief/webhook REST-API endpoint, which doesn’t check the file type properly. This could allow hackers to upload harmful files to the website’s server, potentially allowing them to run remote commands.
