Input validation vulnerability in MainWP Broken Link Checker 4.0

The MainWP Broken Link Checker plugin for WordPress can be vulnerable to something called SQL Injection. This type of security issue occurs when attackers can add extra information to an existing query that can be used to access sensitive data from the database. In the vulnerable versions of this plugin, up to and including version 4.0, this is made possible because of insufficient escaping of user supplied parameters and a lack of preparation of the existing SQL query.
