Access violation vulnerability in MasterStudy LMS WordPress Plugin – for Online Courses and Education 3.3.1

The MasterStudy LMS plugin for WordPress has a security issue that allows hackers to gain higher levels of access than they should. This affects all versions up to and including version 3.3.1. The problem lies in a function called _register_user() that is used by a specific action. Attackers who do not have an account can use this vulnerability to register a new user with administrator privileges. This only happens if the website has MasterStudy LMS Pro installed and the LMS Forms Editor add-on is turned on.
