Input validation vulnerability in WP Posts Carousel 1.3.8

The WP Posts Carousel plugin used in WordPress has a security issue where it is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting. This can happen in versions 1.3.8 and below because the plugin does not properly protect against harmful code being inserted and executed on a page. This means that attackers who have contributor-level access or higher can potentially insert harmful scripts into pages that will run when a user visits that page.
