Input validation vulnerability in Jetpack – WP Security, Backup, Speed, & Growth 5.1

The Jetpack plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to a type of cyber attack known as Stored Cross-Site Scripting. This vulnerability is present in versions up to, and including, 7.9. Attackers with medium level access to a WordPress site can exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious web scripts into posts and administrative pages. When a user visits the page with the malicious scripts, the scripts are executed, potentially stealing user data or taking control of the website.
