Input validation vulnerability in Infogram – Add charts, maps and infographics 1.6.1

The tool called “Infogram plugin” used for WordPress has a security issue. This problem is called “Stored Cross-Site Scripting” and it can affect versions 1.6.1 and below. This happens because the tool doesn’t properly clean up the input and output. This means that someone who has permission to contribute to a page can add harmful scripts that will run when anyone views the page.
