The Malware Scanner plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to a security issue which could allow unauthenticated attackers to bypass certain security measures. This is because the plugin does not properly check the IP address of a user, and relies on information that could potentially be supplied by the attacker. All versions up to and including version 4.7.1 are affected.
