Input validation vulnerability in affiliate-toolkit – WP Affiliate Plugin with Amazon 3.7.0

The WP Affiliate Plugin with Amazon for WordPress, called the affiliate-toolkit, has a security issue that allows attackers to inject harmful scripts into pages. This can be done by using the plugin’s ‘atkp_product’ shortcode, and it affects all versions up to 3.7.0. This means that even if you are logged in as a contributor or higher, an attacker can still insert their own scripts that will run when you visit the page. This is a way to get around a previous security flaw known as CVE-2024-10227.
