Input validation vulnerability in Poll Maker – Versus Polls, Anonymous Polls, Image Polls 6.0.7

A popular plugin for WordPress called “The Poll Maker” has a vulnerability that allows hackers to access sensitive information from the database. This is due to a lack of proper protection on a parameter called “filterbyauthor” in all versions up to 6.0.7. This means that attackers with administrator-level access or higher can add their own queries to the existing ones and potentially steal data.
