Input validation vulnerability in Advanced Ads – Ad Manager & AdSense 1.17.4

The Advanced Ads plugin for WordPress, up to and including version 1.17.3, is vulnerable to a type of security attack called Reflected Cross-Site Scripting. This type of attack allows an unauthenticated attacker to inject malicious scripts into a website, which can execute if a user clicks on a link that the attacker has sent them. This is possible because the plugin does not adequately sanitize and escape user-supplied input from the ‘advads-last-edited-group’ parameter.
