The Simple Banner WordPress plugin had a vulnerability before version 2.12.0 that allowed someone with high privileges to perform a type of attack called Cross-Site Scripting even when a safety feature was turned on. This vulnerability was caused by the plugin not properly cleaning up its “”Simple Banner Text”” settings.
