A popular WordPress plugin called “WP Compress – Image Optimizer” has a security issue called Cross-Site Request Forgery. This can affect all versions of the plugin, including the latest one. The problem is caused by not properly checking for a security code on certain functions. This can allow hackers to make unauthorized changes to a website if they can get the website owner to click on a fake link.
