Input validation vulnerability in WP Page Widget 2.8

The WP Page Widget plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to a security issue called Reflected Cross-Site Scripting in versions before 2.8. This security issue could allow unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious web scripts into pages on the website, which could execute if the user is tricked into performing an action (like clicking a link). This is possible because the plugin does not sufficiently sanitize input or escape output.
