Access violation vulnerability in LWSCache 2.8.5

The LWSCache plugin for WordPress has a security issue that allows people to change information without permission. This happens because the lwscache_activatePlugin() function is not properly protected in versions up to and including 2.8.5. This means that anyone with a Subscriber or higher level of access can activate any approved LWS plugins.
