WordPress Colorbox is a lightbox plugin for WordPress that allows users to pop up content using the jQuery ColorBox library. It features a beautiful lightbox popup style, flexibility in creating custom lightbox links, and the ability to pop up custom/HTML content in lightbox. The plugin is also compatible with WordPress multisite and supports all major browsers, as well as mobile devices. Users can apply the lightbox effect on images inserted into WordPress posts/pages and open external pages in lightbox using iframe. A simple shortcode can be used anywhere on the site to pop up a media file in lightbox.
