The AffiliateWP plugin for WordPress had a security flaw that allowed unauthenticated attackers to inject malicious code into pages, which would execute if a user was tricked into clicking a link. This vulnerability was present in versions of AffiliateWP prior to 2.0.9.1 and was caused by insufficient input sanitization and output escaping.
