The Webmention plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to a type of cyber attack called Reflected Cross-Site Scripting. This means that if someone can trick a user into clicking on a link, they can inject malicious code into the website. This vulnerability exists in versions up to, and including, 4.0.8 because the plugin does not properly check and filter inputs or escape outputs.
