Input validation vulnerability in Companion Sitemap Generator – HTML & XML 4.5.1.1

The Companion Sitemap Generator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to a type of security issue called Reflected Cross-Site Scripting. This type of security issue could allow attackers to inject malicious code into a website, if the user interacts with a link that the attacker provided. The vulnerability affects versions up to and including 4.5.1.1 of the plugin, and is caused by a lack of proper sanitization of inputs and outputs.
