The Cool Tag Cloud WordPress plugin had a vulnerability before version 2.26. This vulnerability allowed people with a role as low as Contributor to perform attacks that could harm a website. This type of attack is called a Stored Cross-Site Scripting attack. The vulnerability was caused by the plugin not properly protecting the style attribute of the cool_tag_cloud shortcode.
