Input validation vulnerability in Links shortcode 1.8.3

The plugin called “Links” for WordPress can be hacked through a vulnerability called “Stored Cross-Site Scripting”. This can happen in any version up to 1.8.3 because the plugin does not properly protect against harmful code. This means that someone who is logged in and has contributor-level access or higher can add harmful scripts to pages. These scripts will then run whenever someone visits that page.
