Input validation vulnerability in product-catalog-8 1.2.0

The Product Catalog 8 plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to a type of attack called SQL Injection. This type of attack allows an attacker to gain access to sensitive information from the database. The attack is possible when a user is allowed to enter information in the ‘selectedCategory’ parameter in versions up to, and including, 1.2.0. The plugin does not properly escape this user-supplied information or prepare the existing SQL query, which makes it possible for the attacker to add additional SQL queries to the existing query.
