Main url of the website of our dogshelter is apad-apad.org and is really scrambled and I get this message (The mixed content fixer is activated, but was not detected on the frontpage). Works everywhere else on the site, e.g. the German and English language frontpages are ok. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this? https://apad-apad.org/de/ or does this not have anything to do with the ssl?
Thanks a lot,

usually when the front page is scrambled, it’s because the stylesheets are still loaded over http://. This can happen when using caching on the site, clearing all caches the site uses should resolve your issue.April 26, 2019 at 6:16 pm #218479David ThamGuest

I have confirmed that the mixed content is active however it is not detecting the frontpage.
What can I do?April 26, 2019 at 7:10 pm #218488
Did you check all steps in this article?
If so, can you tell us what you did, and what the results were?April 27, 2019 at 1:32 am #218545David ThamGuest
I have tested the valid ssl certificate on https://ssllabs.com/ssltest. It came back with the result A.
I have manually check the source code data-rsssl=1 if it exist. It does.
I do not have a caching plugin other than the one built in to word press on my oceanwp theme. I have clear/purged the cache.
I receive the the green lock on all pages except for my home page.
I have switched on the mixed content fixer hook option. Not sure how long it takes to go into effect. But it does not change the out come.April 27, 2019 at 2:17 am #218549David ThamGuest
It looks like it took some time for the mixed content fixer hook to take into effect. It is working now.May 2, 2019 at 2:05 pm #220572IzhamGuest
When I activate Real Simple SSL plugin, it read this
The mixed content fixer is active, but was not detected on the frontpage. Please follow these steps to check if the mixed content fixer is working.: Instructions
I tried to check view page source and try to find ‘data-rsssl’ but nothing happen.
This is my domain https://kebunbandar.com
I hope I’m not to late to encounter this problem.
Thanks in advance.May 2, 2019 at 3:19 pm #220582
your site seems to be working fine on SSL, so the warning can be safely ignored.June 16, 2019 at 9:41 pm #237338izleGuest

I get the warning “The mixed content fixer is active, but was not detected on the frontpage”
I checked the front page source and I don’t have data-rsssl. The front page is from Leadpages.
Can you help?
Thank you 🙂June 17, 2019 at 9:22 am #237675
this warning doesn’t have an effect on your ranking.June 17, 2019 at 9:23 am #237677
landing/maintenance pages can prevent the mixed content fixer marker from showing. This issue likely won’t occur on your live site.June 19, 2019 at 3:32 pm #238852Jean-PolGuest
On all my sites with your SSL plugin installed, I have a warning in the form of a red chip (1) very visible in Settings and RS ssl. I checked, everything is good on mixed content, but this red chip is disturbing for the user. How to get rid of it?June 19, 2019 at 3:51 pm #238863
When you check in your dashboard, in settings/ssl, you will see a notice about a recommended .htaccess redirect. You can read more about this here:

Well there is a lock when I go to my website but it’s not green like it said it should be.June 23, 2019 at 2:31 pm #240539
No worries, the color of the lock depends on your browser. In recent Chrome updates the lock has changed from green to grey. If you have a grey lock, you’re fine.June 23, 2019 at 3:00 pm #240546Skyler RiordanGuest

I am getting the same notification: The mixed content fixer is active, but was not detected on the frontpage. Please follow these steps to check if the mixed content fixer is working.
I have found the data-rsssl=1 code but am still getting the notification. I also get errors when I try to add in new images. Any suggestions on ensuring the content is secure before publishing?
THANKS 🙂October 3, 2019 at 9:25 am #283783
when the data-rsssl=1 marker is present in the page source the warning can be safely ignored since the mixed content fixer is working. Sometimes the plugin cannot retrieve the status of the mixed content fixer due to a cURL error. As long as the marker is visible in the page source, the mixed content fixer will work.
What error do you see exactly when adding new images? This can be caused by an .htaccess file in your /uploads/ directory, only allowing uploads over regular http:// instead of https://.October 9, 2019 at 1:02 am #285914NELSON EDELFLIDES CARNEIROGuest
Hi, The mixed content is fixed for the internal pages, but not the front page. I’ve disabled the other plugins. Anything else I can try?October 9, 2019 at 8:30 am #286246
it’s possible that your site is using caching, did you try to clear all caches the website uses? If you can provide me with your site address, I can check your site to see what might be going wrong.February 28, 2020 at 4:46 am #342671Dipak PatilGuest
i am getting same issue on my domain https://www.kaise-kare.com/ kindly help me out to fixFebruary 28, 2020 at 9:22 am #342741
your site loads some images from a domain that doesn’t have an SSL certificate (http://cdn.adgebra.in/custom/generic/fuelledby_greyNew.png). To fix this, you can either update your CDN configuration to use https:// or manually replace the link to http://.
