It depends on your hosting provider if you can do it yourself or not. I’d suggest to contact them about this, they can tell you exactly what to do.

I see yellow lock in the backend and get this:
“The mixed content fixer is active, but was not detected on the frontpage…”
Please could you help meMay 4, 2018 at 3:30 pm #94584
this often happens because of issues with the certificate. Really Simple SSL is not a certificate itself and requires a valid certificate before it can work correctly. You can check if the certificate is valid over at https://ssllabs.com/ssltest. If you do have a valid certificate there might be an issue with mixed content. To locate mixed content you can use the following guide: https://really-simple-ssl.com/knowledge-base/how-to-track-down-mixed-content-or-insecure-content/

Thanks a lot Mark!May 10, 2018 at 6:17 pm #95580Volkan KoçGuest
Everything is good except this:
“The mixed content fixer is activated, but was not detected on the frontpage. Please follow these steps to check if the mixed content fixer is working.”
– I have valid SSL. The grade is A.
– I just checked manually and couldn’t find data-rsssl=1 on the page source.
What’s the problem about this error? How can I fix this?
Thank you for your help.May 10, 2018 at 6:52 pm #95594
Assuming you tried the other options, did you also try step 5 here?
If using the “switch mixed content fixer hook” option does not help, there’s probably a plugin conflict. You could check this be deactivating plugins and see if this resolves the problem.May 21, 2018 at 2:18 pm #98146BrunoGuest

Your SSL certificate has issues. See for details on your certificate this scan:

I have this problem with mgmnj.org
I bought a Multidomain certificate to cover http://www.mahanaimgroupministries.org and mgmnj.org
This week we decided that all the content from https://www.mahanaimgroupministries.org/ need to go to mgmnj.org
I migrated the website and made sure everything is in order but for some reason I keep getting this mismatch domain or the mixer content is active but not detected on the front page.
Please help?May 31, 2018 at 3:26 pm #101251
the site is in a redirect loop. What this means is that both a redirect to http:// and https:// are active at the same time. They will continue to point to eachother, thus resulting in the redirect loop.
To fix this, one of the redirects has to be removed. The easiest way to make the site available again is to deactivate Really Simple SSL via the force-deactivate script included with the plugin. For instructions on how to do this see: https://really-simple-ssl.com/knowledge-base/uninstall-websitebackend-not-accessible/.
This will remove the redirect to https:// and should make the site available over http://. Once that is done you can start locating the redirect to http:// and remove it so activating the plugin again doesn’t result in another redirect loop. For the most common causes of a redirect loop see: https://really-simple-ssl.com/knowledge-base/my-website-is-in-a-redirect-loop/.

hi there. I’ve been getting “The mixed content fixer is active, but was not detected on the frontpage” error. This is my website (suppliesmedicalstore.com).June 7, 2018 at 10:17 am #103106
this is happening because there is an issue with your SSL certificate. The certificate that’s currently used is a default certificate from Hostgator (see https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=suppliesmedicalstore.com). To fix this, a valid certificate needs to be installed. Really Simple SSL is not a certificate itself and cannot obtain or install a certificate for you. We recommend to obtain a certificate at your hosting provider, they will have access to the server and can install the certificate for you.

your site doesn’t have a valid SSL certificate. Really Simple SSL is not an SSL certificate itself but a tool to configure your website for SSL. To fix this, you need to install a valid SSL certificate which is issued by a certified certificate provider like Comodo or Let’s Encrypt. Your hosting provider can help you with this, they will have access to the server and can obtain and install a certificate for you. Once a valid certificate is installed, the site should work on SSL.

<body data-rsssl=1> still showing
But i do not see any mixed content in my website. please suggest me how can i fix this issues. also show following issues
This page is not secure (broken HTTPS).
My website : https://incentivemarketinggroup.com/
ThanksJuly 26, 2018 at 8:51 am #115193
the site uses a certificate for another domain (https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=incentivemarketinggroup.com). To fix this, the incentivemarketinggroup.com domain has to be added to the certificate. This is something your hosting provider can help you with, Really Simple SSL is a tool to configure your website for SSL and not a certificate itself.

it sounds like there might be an issue with your certificate. Can you go to https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest and see if your certificate checks out?

I am having the same issue/same error message “The mixed content fixer is active, but was not detected on the frontpage” with both websites: http://www.apobookkeeping.com and http://mybloomingbiz.com and it’s so frustrating. Both certificates are valid A rating, but I don’t know how to make SSL Secure lock work and be visible on the homepage. Can you please help me fix this once and for all? Thanks much!July 27, 2018 at 9:26 pm #115769
Your SSL certificate is fine, but your site is still loading some resources over http:// because your theme has a hardcoded http:// link to Google Fonts. Here you can find instructions how to track this file down:
If you change it to https, the green lock will show.July 28, 2018 at 4:39 pm #115962EugénieGuest

Thank You for wonderful plugin. Ive used on other sites. This site is giving me problem and I do everything the exact same so Im not sure what the problem is, It says SSL is activated but then it says cant detect on homepage. I read other article and Ive tried disabling a plugin called Limit Login Attempts, this didnt help, other than that I would not know what other 4 plugins it could be. They have nothing to do with cookies and cache. Please any help, as Im really needing this site to have SSL.
