DO i need to purchase SSL on my hosting platform before i use this plugin?July 1, 2020 at 9:05 am #417468MarkKeymaster
Really Simple SSL requires a valid SSL certificate before it can work correctly. The certificate can be added by your hosting provider, or you could use a solution like SSL Zen.

Is SSL Zen a vetted recommendation? The domain verification was a dead end to me. This is just my assumption but has it seems, hosts that sell SSl, don’t make it straightforward to add a TXT record, couldn’t even find a place to do it in my host. This stopped me from using the DNS method. The HTTP one was also a dead end, although pretty straightforward the uploading of the files to the server, their verification fails! There are other complains in their video about this but no replies. And so you’re back to square one. Very far from ZEN imo, lol.
