KeymasterYour support request was received in good order and has been asnwered. I’ll post the answer here as well:
I just checked your site, the problem is that your certificate has expired:
https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=turoksanctum.comA valid SSL certificate is required for Really Simple SSL and Really Simple SSL pro.
For support on your expired SSL certificate, I would recommend to contact the supplier, which is possibly your hosting company.
As soon as the scan returns a grade A, I can help you configure your site for SSL.
Let me know if you have any questions!

GuestHello friends,
please i need help with ssl certificate, i tried to use the plugin to my website it will not work.
am not that good at it, i need an advice on how i can come about uploading ssl to my website. the one i have on the website it says it’s has expired from 2012 and i want to take it off and install a new one. i need help plsMarch 27, 2018 at 8:10 am #86351Mark
KeymasterHi Matthew,
it sounds like your website is using a certificate that has expired. Really Simple SSL is not a certificate itself and needs a valid certificate before it can work correctly. We recommend to obtain a certificate at your hosting provider, they will have access to the server and can install the certificate for you. Once a valid certificate is installed, Really Simple SSL will help to migrate your site to SSL.

GuestI created and downloaded an SSL certificate from sslforfree.com. I copied these into my cpanel admin dashboard on godaddy.com and installed the Really Simple SSL on my wordpress site. When activated, one is unable to visit my site without a warning that the site is not secure. I am forced to deactivate the plugin to allow my website to be functional.
Please advise (take note that I have no expertise or experience in this area)

KeymasterHi Kirsten,
it is possible the certificate isn’t installed correctly and therefore the results in a warning. Can you check if the certificate checks out by doing a scan here: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/?

GuestHello. I have been in contact with word press. They said I have a valid license. I have Really Simple SSL plugin installed in my page, it shows up as downloaded, yet I can get no further. I went to QUalys SSL Labs, and the site can’t be found. Any suggestions?
June 12, 2018 at 7:40 am #104333Rogier
KeymasterIf SSL labs can’t find your site, it’s probably a DNS issue. Your webhoster can help you with that. Really Simple SSL can only activate if your site can actually load over https. If you post your domain we can check if for you.

GuestHi,
I read through many forum regarding ‘Really Simple SSL’ Plugin issue, not detecting SSL on the server.
Following things might help if anyone looking for help (For CentOS Server):
1: Make sure you have ssl.conf present in (/etc/httpd/conf.d) directory.
If not then, you need to install mod_ssl: sudo yum install mod_ssl2: Once done ssl.conf file will be created and make below changes to it:
ssl.conf file (/etc/httpd/conf.d):
SSLCertificateFile /etc/httpd/conf.d/certs/ca1111.crt
SSLCertificateKeyFile /etc/httpd/conf.d/certs/server.key
SSLCertificateChainFile /etc/httpd/conf.d/certs/gd_bundle-s8.crt3: Restart Httpd
4: Login to your WordPress server with ‘https’. You can log in to your WordPress with https.November 24, 2018 at 9:07 am #147024Shahid Umar

KeymasterHi Shahid,
Please note that Really Simple SSL is not an SSL certificate. I recommend to contact your webhoster about renewing your SSL certificate.

GuestWas trying to obtain free SSL for this site and not sure what info is needed?
KenDecember 1, 2018 at 9:19 pm #148908Rogier
KeymasterHi Ken, for an SSL certificate, you should contact your webhoster. If they support let’s encrypt, you can probably get the free SSL certificate installed automatically. Your webhoster can tell you more.

GuestHello, so I have a Really Simple SSL Plugin in my WordPress and already got the renewed license. My question is, if there something I have to do or make tweaks on my settings at Really Simple SSL since my SSL will expire soon? Thanks in advance
December 11, 2018 at 10:22 am #151204Mark
KeymasterHi Marc,
we recommend to contact your hosting provider if the certificate is about to expire soon. Some certificates will be renewed automatically, while others require you to take action before renewing. It’s best to contact your hosting provider about renewing the certificate to be on the safe side.

GuestHi Mark,
Thank You for your response. I already followed the instructions with my hosting provider and already collected the new SSL certificate. My question is, if the Really Simple SLL plugin of WordPress will automatically update the new certificate? Because upon setting it up, I didn’t do any more settings upon connecting the SSL. Still, thanks for your help.December 11, 2018 at 10:45 am #151221Mark
KeymasterHi Marc,
Really Simple SSL cannot install the new certificate for you. That is something your hosting provider or you need to do. Once a new certificate has been installed, Really Simple SSL will detect it automatically, you don’t have to make any changes to the plugin configuration after installing a new certificate.

GuestHi, I updated the SSL certificate with my hosting provider (Namecheap) – how long will it take for Really Simple SSL Pro to detect and update it?
Thanks
June 10, 2019 at 9:21 pm #234807Rogier
KeymasterHi Sabrina,
Really Simple SSL pro will detect it as soon as the certificate is installed correctly. To check if the certificate is working, you can run a scan on https://ssllabs.com/ssltest

KeymasterHi Faiza,
could you try to clear all caches the website uses to see if that resolves the issue?
