After installing the regular and the pro plugins, I try to enable SSL and I get this error message:

Your .htaccess does not contain the Really Simple SSL redirect to https, and could not be written, so a javascript redirect is currently added. For SEO purposes it is advisable to use .htaccess redirects. Set the .htaccess file to writable and visit the settings page to write it again, or copy the code lines from the settings page. View settings page

How do I fix this problem?

I have tried to manually write the code into the htacess file but I must not be doing it correctly.

Any help you could offer is greatly appreciated.

    Hi Jason,

Did you try reloading the settings page? If the htaccess is writable, that should fix it. Otherwise, could you send me the .htaccess file contents, so I can take a look?
