I’m trying to add SSL to my wordpress site. I bought the SSL Pro software and have the license entered and uploaded. But it still says I need to do these 3 things:
warning SSL is not enabled yet warning No SSL detected. See our guide on how to get a free SSL certificate warning Enable a .htaccess redirect or WordPress redirect in the settings to create a 301 redirect.
At the top, it has continually said there are “Possible Certificate Issues”.
I’m not very good with code or computer lingo (I’m 29, I just talk like an old person), so I’d need to be explained how to get through this like I’m 6 years old. All I want is for my site to be secure. What do I need to do?
can you provide me with your domain we can have a look? It’s possible your site uses an invalid SSL certificate. You can test that here: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest. Really Simple SSL is a tool to configure your site for SSL, not an SSL certificate itself. Therefore the plugin requires a valid SSL certificate before it can work correctly.
