GuestSince getting the SSL, all my media have shown up as blank boxes. I have changed all links to the https and even purchased the Pro version of your software. After a scan, it says it is fine, yet the images still aren’t there, even when trying to reload some.

KeymasterHi David,
I see you have 404 errors on your images, but if you load them directly, they load without issues. So somehow they are blocked by the server.
Can you check if you have hot-link protection on your server activated? In most cases 404 errors on images are caused by hot link protection, because the server is setup to think that the https://domain.com url is from another server.

GuestHoly cow, that did it! You’re the best. Two frustrating days of no answers – can’t tell you how appreciative I am. Thank you.

GuestI too was having the same issues and was convinced it was in the .htaccess file or elsewher, perhaps a rogue plugin and alas, it was the hotlink protection. I built the website in question originally in 2012 and must have set it on cpanel for it to be enabled and simply forgot. Thanks gents, cheers with Makers Mark!

GuestHello,
I just installed your plugin Really Simple SSL, and so far so good.
I just have one issue, which is that images on my site are not showing, but rather I get a load symbol everywhere an image should appear. The images are – as far as I know – hosted on a https site as well.
Please see image example: https://shigaorganisering.dk/2019/06/26/shoppefri-maned/shopper_sand/Please can you guide me how to fix this.
Sincerely Christina

KeymasterHi Christina,
there seems to be an issue with your Visual Composer. The page builder loads these images via Jquery, however jQuery returns an error that the image cannot be found. You might have to re-save your Visual Composer settings to fix this and check if the image url’s in Visual Composter are still correct.

GuestHi Mark,
Thank you for your reply.
I just tried updating visual composer setting but little did it help.
And so I tried adding another image in a new section which worked perfectly. So I realised, that the images that the website is not showing, are all images fetched via the post-grid element.
I also tried adding another new post-grid element (which showed the images in visual composer mode), but that stil turned out with the image load symbol on the live site.Could that mean that I need to do something else?
Thank you

KeymasterHi Christina,
sounds like a possible issue with Visual Composer, especially since this only seems to occur in one specific element. You could try to clear all caches the website uses. If that doesn’t help, I’d suggest to contact Visual Composer about this issue.
